Welcome

Lebanon’s viticultural tradition dates back more than 5000 years. It is generally believed that the ancient seafaring Phoenicians perfected winegrowing in Lebanon and were probably instrumental in bringing it to Europe. The Phoenicians were also the first to introduce their elegant wines to the ancient world, where they found a ready market in the Mediterranean countries. Lebanese wines were popular in ancient times, and beyond the means of most people.

For 5000 years Lebanese viticulturists, more than anybody else, have known how to perform the art of winegrowing on the sun-drenched and calcareous slopes of the Bekaa Valley. The combination of their expertise, traditional winemaking techniques and state-of- the- art technology has proved to be highly successful and results in tasty and exquisite wines for every dish and occasion.

Lebanese vineyards have an annual production of six million bottles. This is only 0.5% of the world’s total wine production. Lebanese wines have been known for their exquisite quality to this day. This is not only due to the excellent quality of the grapes, and the ideal conditions for growing wine, but also because no pesticides are used on the wine grapes.

Enjoy the taste of more than 5000 years of history!
